Review Week Comments and Feedback

as Part of review week in this module we have to review all parts of this module and give honest feedback on how it is going. For this blog I will be talking about the blog comments and my overall experience with them

One thing I must say from the start is that I like to get my blogs done on Friday or Saturday. For a lot of the blog comments you are asked to comment on peoples project work but most people don't do their project work till Sunday which is quite annoying but I guess that is something that can't really be fixed.

I really enjoy the blog comments as it is good to interact with people on this course that you would generally never speak to at all. I am a big believer of feedback and I think it is essential to make better work in the future as people can be very biased to their own work and can't see the problems in it like other can straight away. I don't really like the way the most comments I get are on my introduction. I would prefer to Gert more comments on how my readings and unity game is going. I think I have only got like 2 comments on my project work so far. From the comments on my unity game I got so far it has really helped and I have changed things based on the comments I have got.

I like doing comments as as it always is fun to read other peoples blogs and asses their writing skills. I feel like I am getting way better at giving feedback and I try to be brutally honest when reading someones blog as their is no point in just being a "yes man" and saying everything is good, people won't learn from that. In my opinion brutal honesty is the best and is what some people need to improve themselves for the future.

In the future I would like people to comment on my readings and blog posts as commenting on try introduction is cool and all but it is not very helpful in making me better at the skills that I want to improve in this module.  I like how my blog looks at the moment but I will probably do the tech task this week and mess around with all the customisation till I find something that I really like and will look more professional than it does now.

From looking back at my introduction post I am impressed at how my readings and comments have gotten so much better then then and I hope to get even better before this module ends. I love commenting on blog posts and I always look forward to reading peoples blogs each week . I hope you enjoyed this review of hoe the blog comments are going and will take some of my feedback to maybe improve this module for next years year 2 class.

growth and mindset

for this post I will attempt the extra credit growth and mindset task. I read  "this article " . this article was very interesting altogether. i completely agree that being graded in school can be very emotional on certain people and can hurt a persons confidence. I agree that not everyone who gets top marks can be unhappy with them as they do not understand why it was so easy and there is usually a huge divide between the top and bottom people in the class from their grades. grades can be a good way to control students like it says in this article but overall they just cause arguments between students and make people who just cant get the top marks ever even if they studied for days feel really bad about themselves. I like the teacher who set up meetings with them this should benefit the students and make them feel more comfortable in the class. overall this extra credit article was very interesting to read and has changed my view on all things to do with gradings in schoo...

Feedback stratagies

I really enjoyed researching more into feedback and researching into this has opened my eyes up further to how feedback can vary. The first article I read was called what kind of messages help kids grow. the first thing that really struck was the comment about fixed traits and how intelligence is wived as a fixed trait. I can really agree with this as all my school life I just accepted the fact that I was average and not very smart but if I only could have changed my mindset and worked harder I may have became the intelligent one. I do not like good praise like good  they are just empty comments if you really want to praise someone then you should give them feedback on exactly what it is they did good not just say good. My little 6 year old brother always says I cant do stuff but I never let him give up as if he gives up on small things like school homework , what will he do when he is faced with an actual challenge in his life.
