Reading week 6

so for todays reading/ writing assignment we had to complete our body paragraphs. as you can see from last weeks blog post I had some major issues in finding credible sources and getting proper quotes I could use. I went on to get a look at what every else had done but only like two other people have actually wrote a paragraph which I was shocked about I tried to stop focusing so much on getting quotes and instead I just wrote a solid body paragraph. It is kinda of confusing writing the body before you do the intro and I ma not sure why it is done this way in the first place but I am doing my best. Each week I feel like My writing is greatly improving. This week I added way more content into my body paragraphs. I am very impressed at how far my writing has come on in such a short space of time and I actually look forward to writing a lot more now than I used to in the past I hope you enjoyed reading my blog today and feel free to go ahead read my body paragraphs now.

Unity tutuorial 06

Hello guys and welcome back to my blog. For this blog I will talk about my experience with the unity tutorial 6 . As you should already know I am doing the create with code side of unity this term and I really want improve my overall game coding skills. I am happy with progress so far but I still have a long way to go.                                                 Sound and effects The first tutorial was actually pretty easy but it was really enjoyable. I had tried to add in sound effects to my final game last semester but it failed badly . this tutorial really simplified the process of adding audio to a game and made it actually really easy to follow.  I really enjoyed the quiz at the end of this tutorial even though I got one answer wrong which annoyed me a bit .                         ...

Game design document

I had huge problems using this site you linked to make the game document. I lost all my work about 5 times and things seemed to save in the wrong place. Some of the headings also made no sense. Sorry If I left anything out. This site was a mess to use my dundoc

Unity Tutorial 05

For this weeks unity tutorial things got very interesting. we finally learnt how to add weapons to a map and how how objects  can be picked up. sound effects were also thought in this tutorial although I did have a bit of bother trying to get my sound effects to load properly. unity logo This weeks unity tutorials were really interested and added another dynamic to my blossoming game development skills. The first tutorial that I attempted this week consisted of picking up an object which for this game tutorial was a gem. this can relate back to my final game as I want my character to hopefully pick up items. this tutorial was one of the easier tutorials to follow but it still thought some of the basics that I really did need to know. I actually found the coding in this relatively easy which was a surprise for me as I usually struggle putting code into unity. The way the character can pick up objects can differ a lot depending on what type of game you make b...

Games GDD

game design animation For this weeks reading we got to read about game design and how it different aspects can make a game feel and play better. this was very interesting to me. I spent about 40 minutes reading the articles and getting an understanding of what it was all about.  The Article that I read was called "Design Considerations" written by Greg Aleknevicus.  This was a bit more advanced than needed as it went into how a games box will look and we will not need to worry about that for years to come but it still had some key opponents the will hopefully make a better game designer. I really liked his sentences about making tiles smaller so they don't affect everything around the, This sounds so simple but it is something that I would never have thought about at all until I read this article. I will most certainly use this in my final game as I will be creating a wall or tiles somewhere on my map.  This article really opened up my eyes to disabilities however...
