Feedback stratagies

I really enjoyed researching more into feedback and researching into this has opened my eyes up further to how feedback can vary. The first article I read was called what kind of messages help kids grow. the first thing that really struck was the comment about fixed traits and how intelligence is wived as a fixed trait. I can really agree with this as all my school life I just accepted the fact that I was average and not very smart but if I only could have changed my mindset and worked harder I may have became the intelligent one. I do not like good praise like good  they are just empty comments if you really want to praise someone then you should give them feedback on exactly what it is they did good not just say good. My little 6 year old brother always says I cant do stuff but I never let him give up as if he gives up on small things like school homework , what will he do when he is faced with an actual challenge in his life. Overall this article has reminded me that praise can be good but always try to show the child why the thing they are doing is good and never let them give up on something and say "I cant do it".

The next article that I read was called "How to give feedback without sounding like a jerk". This title really caught my eye as so many people hate feedback and look down on anyone that gives them feedback even when it is good feedback. One thing that I will definitely do in the future is ask a person first if they want feedback before I jump right in and give them feedback. I will also never give false praise as it is so obvious when somebody is giving false praise and it usually just ends up being very awkward and cringe. If you have something bad to say just say, now do not be too mean about it but try to phrase it in a way that the person can learn from it and grow as a person so it will not happen again.  I liked this article as it was very true. compliment sandwiches never work and people always dwell on the bad stuff so just be honest and it will get you way further in life.

Overall these article have changed the way I think for the better and I look forward to implementing some of the ideas I have read in person.

As you should already know I am doing the create with code side of unity this term and I really want improve my overall game coding skills. Hello guys and welcome back to my blog. For today's reading we had to continue from the research we were doing last week but thew difference was we had to a pply thematic analysis  to your resources and group common themes this week.   The first thing I did was read all the steps very carefully. I liked how it went into detail in discursive writing as that is something I am very passionate about, I used to have a blog years ago when I would be discursive and discuss manchester united games but I gave that up . I completely agree with the point about supporting your argument with evidence as if you do not how is anyone going to trust that what you said is credible  summaries to me are vital , I sometimes read the summary of an article first and that usually gives me a good outlook on if this article will be worth reading or not. today I went and found more resources online which I will add to my matrix. Welcome back to my blog guys. I was kind of hoping there would be no bogs to do this term at all as they were pretty stressful last semester but I will get on with it and give it my best shot. This module actually sounds very interesting and I ma excited to keep researching and adding to my parts of the book. I spent way over 3 hours doing research for this.
