unity free tutorials

so today I was super busy trying to get an alpha of my website completed so I only got time to do one unity tutorial but the tutorial that I did do has helped me put the final pieces to my game so I am pleased with that aspect of it to be honest.

i watched this tutorial. This tutorial was really interesting and I liked how the guy broke it down really well and made it super easy to follow. A main menu is something I should have had before I suppose but i just never thought about it which is stupid I I know.  I liked how it actually was not that hard to code and you could easily change the buttons and menu layout to suit whatever game it was you are making. this tutorial did drag on a good but near the end but I manged to follow it through to the end and I am very happy with what I have learned from it,

overall today unity tutorial was great as it really helped me finalize parts of my game and make it look more professional which is exactly what I wanted.

Introduction Post

My name is Aaron Comiskey and I am 20 years old. I currently study CDM in Blanchardstown and I love the course. I live in Kilmessan, Meath with my family but I hope to move out soon when I get enough money together. I want to be a video editor when I am finished college and maybe work for companies such as BBC or RTE(you have to aim big or you will fail). During this term I want to get better at all things to do with video but I also want to give the other stuff like web design and game development a chance as I may end up loving them and actually want to go into that area after college. I have many hobbies. I am big into the gym and love lifting weights , it makes you feel better and look better so why not do it. I love football and I am a huge Manchester United fan even though we are rubbish now. I play tennis the odd time when I am not too busy also. I post fitness content online not to show off my body or muscles (even though I am proud of the results) More so that I can keep u...

unity fail

to be brutally honest I never understood unity at all this year and tried to mainly focus on the readings and all the extra credit. hoping that would be enough to pass this course. I still have very high points as I have done so many extra credit and all the blogs / unity tutorials. I have a game started but to be honest it was a mess and with al;l the other assigments it is not going well. I will try get more of it done to show on wednesday but I am not too confident. over this course I have really enjoyed the readings and I have done the extra credit lots but my final game is kinda all over the place. I wanted to do a platformer but that failed big time and the coding in this just makes no sense at all to me.

Unity tutorial 01

The first thing that I did before I started the tutorial was to watch all the jimmy vegas videos linked on the website., these really gave me a great starting place before I actually attempted the tutorial for myself. The tutorial that I did was the first one I saw called the creator dev . It was an alien shooter game. The really good thing was that you actually got to play the game before you went to make it so you could get a glimpse of how the mechanics were meant to work. The part I enjoyed the most was making my own enemies to shoot. I was disappointed that there was only really two character prototypes to go off but I did the most with them that I could. I found it very difficult to connect different pieces of the course together and make them actually work but eventually I got it right and it was pretty satisfying. This unity tutorial was very good but in general it was very limited and I am excited to get into more in depth unity tutorials in the very near future. overa...
